Getting Started

From your dashboard, click the “+” at the top of your screen or start typing their name in the search field and select “Add [new person]”. From there, you’ll be prompted with a few questions that help Quin determine the best gesture recommendations.

1. Select the Space

The last step above is the most critical one.  In order for Quin to provide the best suggestions, it needs to know as much detail as possible — particularly about a person’s interests and hobbies. We recommend including at least three things to make it a more well rounded suggestion list, however Quin is also able to provide suggested based on a single interest. In short, the more you give, the more you get.

What doesn’t matter as much is the style in which you include details. You can use complete sentences or simply add a string of keywords. How you choose to inform Quin is up to you, but the core keywords will be the most important.

Adding a person via text is similar to how you would in-app, but there will be more of a back-and-forth exchange. We find it easiest to add all the details upfront to lessen the messages, however if Quin needs more information from you — it will ask.

If you’d like to remove or edit a person’s details, you can do so by messaging Quin. For example, if a client no longer enjoys tennis, you can tell Quin, “Forget John likes tennis,” and Quin will remove this from their profile.

The same goes for an update. If a client had two children and recently had a third, you can tell Quin, “John had a baby in August,” and Quin will understand that John now has three children.

Sharing a profile makes it easy for teams to gather and recall information about a client. If a contact is listed in a shared team space, then anyone added to that space can see a person’s profile. If you’d like to share that profile, simply click “Share” on the left-hand column and that will copy the URL to the page. Send it to your colleague, and once they are logged into Quin, they’ll be able to go directly to that profile.
